Our Milk Paint Brands

Old Fashioned Milk Paint is the original formula milk paint first created nearly 50 years ago following the authentic home recipe. There are 32 colours in all, the original 20 of which are historic Shaker style colours, with 12 more being added in 2019, still in keeping with this classic heritage. These traditional colours are used extensively by woodworkers and reproduction furniture makers looking for an authentic period finish, but also by lovers of colonial or "primitive" colours.
Sweet Pickins Milk Paint is our new Boutique line, still authentic milk paint using the same eco friendly ingredients, but with over 30 beautiful, relaxed, feminine colours ideally suited to a "modern-country" style. These pretty colours are perfect for home furniture makeover or upcycling projects.
Farmhouse Finishes Safepaint is our milk paint for walls and interiors. Again, still authentic milk paint, it has simply been formulated to be used over previously painted walls, prior finished wood, metal and other surfaces without the addition of Extra Bond. It is easier to mix and gives a more consistent finish over larger areas, rather than the more mottled finish of the original formula. But i it can still be used on furniture, and is ideal if you want a solid finish with minimal preparation!
All three brands have the same eco credentials, being completely natural, non VOC, food and child-safe, odorless and fast drying. Best of all, milk paint is incredibly durable; the colours will never fade, and unlike many chalk paint, will not rub off over time.
